Last updated on May 12, 2025

If you want to use Drime on your Mac, follow this simple guide to download and install the app in just a few steps.

1. Go to the download page

Head over to the official Drime download page by clicking the following link: Download Drime.

2. Choose the macOS version

On the download page, select the "macOS" option. This will download the installer file in .dmg format.

3. Open the installer

Once the file is downloaded:

  • Go to your "Downloads" folder.

  • Double-click the .dmg file to launch the installation assistant.

4. Install the application

A window will appear showing the Drime icon and the "Applications" folder.

  • Drag the Drime icon into the "Applications" folder.

  • This will copy the Drime app to your Applications directory.

5. Launch Drime

  • Go to your "Applications" folder.

  • Double-click the Drime icon to launch the app.

  • If you see a warning that the app is from an unidentified developer:

    • Click "Open", or

    • Go to "System Preferences" > "Security & Privacy" to allow the app.

6. Sign in to your account

The first time you open Drime, a login window will appear. Enter your Drime credentials to access your files.

7. Access your files

Once Drime is installed and running, a folder named "Drime" will be automatically created in your Finder.
All your synced files from Drime will appear in this folder.

⚠️ Important – File Synchronization

Currently, we strongly recommend the following:

  • Click the gear icon at the top right of the Drime app to open Settings.

  • Sync an empty or lightly-filled workspace to avoid large file downloads.

Note: In the current version, your Drime files will be downloaded to your Mac, but they won't be stored in the cloud.
An update is currently in development to enable this feature.

At this stage, the Drime app is ideal for quickly syncing files between devices and your online Drime storage.

If the app doesn't launch properly, make sure your macOS version is supported.
