- Right-click on the file or folder, or hover over it and click on the menu icon in the top right corner to reveal the
sharing options.
2. Initiating Sharing:
- Select the "Share" option from the dropdown menu. This will open a dialog box where you can specify the sharing
settings.
3. Choosing Sharing Method:
- In the sharing dialog box, you have two main options:
- Share via Email: Enter the email address of the user you wish to share the file or folder with. You can also
specify their permissions, such as edit, view, or download.
- Generate a Link: Alternatively, you can generate a shareable link that can be shared via any messaging platform
or copied and pasted into an email or document.
4. Setting Permissions:
- If you choose to generate a shared link, you'll have the option to customize permissions before creating the link.
These permissions include:
- Link Expiration: Set a date or duration after which the link will expire, ensuring temporary access.
- Password Protection: Require users to enter a password before accessing the shared content, adding an extra
layer of security.
- Allow Download: Specify whether users can download the file or folder once they access the shared link.
- Allow Import: Enable users to import the shared content into their own accounts, facilitating collaboration.
5. Finalizing Sharing:
- Once you've configured the sharing settings to your preference, click on the appropriate button to create the
shareable link or send to the user email.
6. Managing Shared Content:
- You can easily manage shared content by accessing the sharing settings of the file or folder. Here, you can view a
list of users who have access and make changes to their permissions or revoke access altogether.
